3.1.2. Enabling Dual-Purpose Pin
To use the configuration and JTAG pins as user I/O in user mode, you must do the following in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software:
- On the Assignments menu, click Device. The Device dialog box appears.
- In the Device dialog box, click Device and Pin Options. The Device and Pin Options dialog box appears.
- In the Device and Pin Option dialog box, select General from the category pane.
- In the Options list, do the following:
- Check the Enable JTAG pin sharing.
- Uncheck the Enable nCONFIG, nSTATUS, and CONF_DONE pins.
Note: Unchecking this option allows the nCONFIG, nSTATUS, and CONF_DONE pins to turn into user I/Os in user mode.
- Click OK.
