2.4.1. Single-Ended I/O Termination in Intel® Agilex™ Devices

Intel® Agilex™ devices support on-chip termination for single-ended I/O standards. OCT maintains signal quality, saves board space, and reduces external component costs.
Figure 6. RS and RT OCTThis figure shows the single-ended termination schemes supported in Intel® Agilex™ devices. RT1 and RT2 are dynamic parallel terminations that switch on only when the device is receiving. In bidirectional applications, RT1 and RT2 automatically switch on when the device is receiving and switch off when the device is driving.
