2.6.1. IBIS Models

You can use the M-Series IBIS model to perform system-level simulations for various I/O configurations across three predefined process, voltage, and temperature settings.

The M-Series IBIS model kit contains the following information:

  • IBIS model file (.ibs)
  • User guide that describes the model usage
  • Model list sheet that lists the supported I/O feature for each model
  • Package RLC report that provides the lumped package RLC values for each supported M-Series variant

You can use the M-Series IBIS model to simulate all valid I/O features configurations across all supported I/O standards:

  • Slew rate
  • Weak pull-up
  • RS OCT with and without calibration
  • RT OCT with and without calibration
  • RD OCT with and without calibration
  • Receiver equalization calibration
  • De-emphasis
  • Pre-emphasis
  • Differential output voltage
