Platform Designer

1   Take advantage of Platform Designer for system and processor designs.

Platform Designer is a system integration tool included as part of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software. Platform Designer captures system-level hardware designs at a high level of abstraction and automates the task of defining and integrating customized Hardware Description Language (HDL) components. These components include IP cores, verification IP, and other design modules. Platform Designer facilitates design reuse by packaging and integrating your custom components with Intel and third-party IP components. Platform Designer automatically creates interconnect logic from the high-level connectivity you specify, thereby eliminating the error-prone and time-consuming task of writing HDL to specify system-level connections.

Platform Designer is more powerful if you design your custom components using standard interfaces. By using standard interfaces, your components inter-operate with the components in the Platform Designer Library. In addition, you can take advantage of bus functional models (BFMs), monitors, and other verification IP to verify your design.
