1.4.4.2. Link Detect Frame

The link detect frame is used to exchange information about the LTPI version and operating speed capabilities to determine the common target speed between SCM and HPM.

Speed capabilities are defined as multiples of a base frequency of 25 MHz in a single data rate (SDR) mode. The highest bit indicates that the dual data rate (DDR) is supported at target link speed if its bit is set to 1. LTPI can support various speed combinations, but all must support the base 25 MHz frequency. The following table defines the speed capabilities.

The link detect frame consists of LTPI version and speed capabilities of the LTPI IP. It is also used to automatically determine the common target speed between SCM and HPM.
