Pop-Up Keeps Asking to Update the Graphics Card with the Error Message: “Stale Configuration Data”

Description

After updating to the latest graphics driver, pop-ups continually appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen show up asking to update the graphics driver with an error message saying Stale Configuration Data.

Resolution

This is a cosmetic issue encountered when the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant is not synced with the system time. Refresh results in the Intel® DSA menu to clear the Stale Configuration Data message.

Perform the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Conduct a clean installation of the graphics driver.
  2. If the issue persists, do a System File Checker Scan of the system.
