3.6. Sector Size
If your applications require you to access the QSPI flash device during user mode, such as storing user data in a certain address of the flash device, you need to make sure the boundary of your memory space storing your data is aligned to the minimum sector erase size. For example, if the flash device minimum sector erase size is 4 KB, then your memory allocation boundary needs to be 4 KB-aligned.
For flash devices that support non-uniform sector size, Altera recommends you configure the flash to use uniform sector size for ease of use.
If you are using the Remote System Update (RSU) feature, you must make sure all partitions have memory allocation aligned to the QSPI flash device minimum erase size.
