Troubleshooting Automatic Lock in Windows with Intel® NUC M15 Laptop Kit - EVO LAPBC710

Description

The screen locks automatically even though changing the dynamic lock, power, and sleep settings to never. It happens after 10-15 seconds of inactivity, whether the user is near the system or not, or not moving the cursor for a few seconds.

Resolution

  1. Adjust the power and sleep settings in Windows.
  2. Turn off the Lock When Not Present in Intel® NUC Software Studio.
  3. Perform a Windows Update.
  4. Install the latest BIOS.
  5. Install the latest graphics driver from the Intel® NUC M15 Laptop Kits - LAPBC710 & LAPBC510 - Driver Pack.
  6. Uncheck the Allow Windows to automatically lock your device when you're away.
