Description

It is not clear what the different Frame Delivery settings do and what option to choose when configuring Intel® Arc™ Control Software.

Resolution

The Intel® Arc™ Control software offers three different V-Sync options located in the Frame Delivery tab:

  • Application Choice: It will make the V-Sync to work as configured in the in-game graphics settings (since each game can be rendered at different frame rates).
  • Smart VSync: Automatically enables V-Sync when the application’s render rate exceeds the display's refresh rate and disables VSync when the render rate falls below the display's refresh rate.
  • Smooth Sync: For Displays without VESA Adaptive Sync support. It acts by blurring distracting screen tears with a dithering filter.
