2.2. Hardware and Software Requirements

Altera uses the following software to test the design example:

Hardware

  • Agilex 5 FPGA E-Series 065B Premium (or Modular) Development Kit
  • SDI Signal Generator
  • SDI Signal Analyzer
  • BNC to BNC cables
  • Nextera Video VIDIO* FMC Development Module 12G SDI FMC daughter card (VIDIO-12G-A) or FMC Loopback Card

Software

  • Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software
  • Either one of the following simulators for functional simulation:
    • ModelSim* SE
    • QuestaSim* FE Intel FPGA Edition
    • Riviera-PRO*
    • VCS* MX
    • Xcelium*
Note: Hardware support is not available in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3.
