6.1.1. OpenOCD and Eclipse Embedded CDT

The Open On-Chip Debugger (OpenOCD) is an open-source gdb server that provides debugging, in-system programming, and boundary-scan testing for embedded target devices with hardware debugger's JTAG port. The Eclipse Embedded CDT is a tool to create, build, debug and manage RISC-V projects and application. Refer to the Related Information about how to use OpenOCD to debug Nios® V/m processor application.
