2.10. SDM Mailbox Command

You can send SDM Mailbox commands and read the response via the JTAG interface using the tool and generic command line interface.

When you input the mailbox command and the parameters, the tool formats the argument into a valid SDM packet, translates it into a low level JTAG instruction, and drives the JTAG pins accordingly.

To enable the command sending, the device must connect via JTAG interface and configured with firmware.
CAUTION:
Please take precaution when you access flash using SDM Mailbox command. You must protect and ensure the failure of using the tool on the flash device does not harm the flash device. Refer to the respective flash memory datasheet on the important notes and warnings to prevent from damaging the flash device and eliminate the risk of any unrecoverable error.
