2.8.1. Performing Hard Processor System (HPS) Cold Reset

  1. Click Hardware Setup to select the hardware setup to use for debugging.
  2. Click Load Device to select your device.
  3. Click HPS.
    Note: The HPS tab is disabled if the selected device is not SDM-based.
  4. Select HPS Cold Reset as your HPS reset mode.
    Note: HPS Warm Reset is only supported on Agilex™ 5 devices.
  5. If the last configuration source is AS configuration, click Start to perform HPS cold reset. HPS image automatically loads from attached QSPI flash to the device after the HPS cold reset.
  6. If the last configuration source is JTAG, select Send HPS image after reset, specify the HPS image path, and click Start to perform the HPS cold reset and send the HPS image file from SOF or RBF file to the device after the reset is completed.
    Note: This feature is only applicable when the last configuration source is JTAG.
