Propagation Delay

The propagation delay (tPD = Zo × Co) is the time delay through the transmission line per unit length. It depends on the characteristic impedance and characteristic capacitance of the bus.
Figure 3. Effective Propagation DelayFor a loaded bus, you can calculate the effective propagation delay with this equation. You can calculate the time for the signal to propagate from driver A to receiver B as the tPDEFF × length of line between driver A and receiver B.
