F-Tile FHT 106 Gbps PAM4 Design with 5 dB Insertion Loss Receiver Setting Tuning Vs BER (IEEE Ethernet 400GBASE)

Note: This design and results are for Agilex™ 7 F-Tile initial engineering sample (ES) devices with OPNs not mentioned in Appendix A.1
The setup for the example is shown below:
  • Test Condition:
    • 106 Gbps PAM4 signaling
    • External loopback
    • Trace with 5 dB of insertion loss
  • Test equipment:
    • QSFP loopback module
  • Test hardware:
    • Agilex™ 7 I-Series Development kit
