1. Triple Rate SDI II Reference Designs for Intel® Arria® 10 Devices

The triple rate Serial Digital Interface II (SDI II) reference designs demonstrate the transmission and reception of video data using the SDI II IP and the Intel® Arria® 10 GX FPGA Development Kit.

Intel offers the following reference designs:
  • Triple Rate SDI II with External voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) Reference Design for Intel® Arria® 10 Devices
    • Uses one duplex and one simplex TX of the triple-rate SDI II IP.
    • Supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI standards.
  • Triple Rate SDI II VCXO Removal Reference Design for Intel® Arria® 10 Devices
    • Uses one simplex TX and one simplex RX of the triple-rate SDI II IP.
    • Supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI standards.

This application note describes the design components and requirements. It also includes the instructions on setting up and testing the reference designs.
