Detailed Description

Purpose

This is the second step to fix an issue with Intel® NUC 11th & 12th Generation Products Not Waking from Modern Standby.

The article Solving issues with Intel® Ethernet Controller i225 on Intel NUC products with Windows 11/10 Modern Standby, describes the issue and provides instructions for step 1 of the process. 

Step 1

Update the BIOS with the instructions in the article, Solving issues with Intel® Ethernet Controller i225 on Intel NUC products with Windows 11/10 Modern Standby

Step 2

Apply the Windows Regitry patch, using the instructions below. Make sure the BIOS is up to date first.

  1. Download the AUTO_GEN_PEP_DISABLE.zip folder - the file on this page.
  2. Unzip the AUTO_GEN_PEP_DISABLE.zip folder.
  3. Double-click on the AUTO_GEN_PEP_DISABLE.reg Windows Registry File to run the patch.
