3.1. Configuring the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Project

Follow these steps to create a Quartus® Prime project:

  1. In the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software, click File > New Project Wizard to create a new Quartus® Prime project. The wizard prompts you to specify a device. To open existing project, go to step 4.
  2. Specify the device family and select the device for your design. Refer to Device Family Support for the supported devices.
  3. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the New Project creation.
  4. For existing project, go to File > Open to open an existing Quartus® Prime project.
A valid license is required to use the IP which can be obtained from the Altera FPGA Self-Service Licensing Center. Refer to Licensing the IP.
