3.7.2. GTS Transceiver Bank Name Change between Device Variant

When you migrate from a bigger device variant to a smaller device variant or vice versa, the GTS transceiver bank naming changes for each device variant. For example, in the following table, for the B32B package, the GTS transceiver bank naming changes when moving to a smaller device variant.
  • When you migrate from A5D064A to A5D031A within the same package, the 1D bank naming has now changed to 1B. The 1C bank naming has now changed to 1A.
  • Likewise, on the right side, when you migrate from A5D064A to A5D031A within the same package, the 4D bank naming has now changed to 4B. The bank 4C bank naming has now change to 4A.
Figure 5. Transceiver Bank Naming Change Example for Package B32B

Even though the GTS transceiver bank naming changed, these migratable devices contain identical GTS TX/RX and REFCLK pins to support direct migration.

You must take note of the bank name change and specific transceiver pin location by referring to the Agilex™ 5 Device Pin-Out Files and the Consideration Details for Migration Planning section.

Refer to the Consideration Details for Migration Planning section to identify the GTS transceiver bank name change for every migratable device variant across the supported package.
