4.1.1. Scalar Parameters
The inputs are read into the component when the external system pulls the start signal high and the component keeps the busy signal low.
If your component has a return value, an output conduit that is synchronized to your component done signal is generated.
For an example of how to specify a scalar parameter and how it is read in by a component, see the a argument in Interface Definition Example: Component with Both Scalar and Pointer Arguments and Interface Definition Example: Component with Both Scalar and Pointer Arguments.
