2.3.2.5.3. RX Native Adaptation Mode

When the RX native adaptation mode is selected, the RX equalizer parameters are adapted by the RX PMA. The adaptation algorithm used for native adaptation mode is different from RX auto adaptation mode. In this adaptation mode, you do not need to configure the RX equalizer parameters since they are automatically adapted to the optimum settings for the PMA links.

The current protocol modes supported in the GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY IP that require the RX native adaptation mode are: 12G-SDI, 8G/10G/12G-HDMI and 12G/22.5G-SAS 16.

16 12Gbps and 22.5Gbps SAS protocol support is preliminary in the current Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software release.
