A.3.6. HPS Debug

The SDM manages access to the HPS debug access port (DAP) via JTAG. Access is disabled by default upon device configuration. The bitstream contains an SDM setting that either enables the DAP or requires a signed certificate to be loaded prior to enabling the DAP.

Using an HPS debug certificate includes the following steps:

  • Requesting the certificate from a configured device.
  • Signing the certificate using a keychain with HPS debug permissions.
  • Programming the signed certificate back into the device.
