2.3. Compiling the Design Example

  1. Navigate to the Quartus Prime directory containing the design example directory
  2. Open the Quartus Prime project file, (.qpf).
  3. Click Processing > Start Compilation. After a successful compliation, the software generates a .sof file, which enables the design to run on hardware
