Table 6.  v1.4.0 2023.04.03
Quartus® Prime Version Description Impact
23.1 Added Statistics Snapshot Feature. Statistics can now be snapshotted for coherent statistic readback.
Added Multi-Port Backpressure. The MACsec IP implements backpressure for overhead user rate on single port and multi-port configuration. Does not backpressure RX common port data coming from tile.
Runtime Rekeying Support. The MACsec IP supports dynamic rekeying for transmit and receive paths. Without this, the IP needs rekeying to be in an idle period. This gives you the flexibility to do rekeying during runtime.
Runtime Store and Forward/Cut through mode enabled through AXI-LITE. This enables you to select a particular port to operate in Store and Forward or Cut through mode. This can be changed during run time to operate on different traffic and enable different MACsec services.
Global CPORT_OPER and GLOBAL_INTERRUPT fixed. There was a disconnect between global CPORT_OPER and GLOBAL_INTERRUPT handling, which has been fixed.
Input encrypt traffic patterns less than 48 bytes can result in packet drops. Input encrypt traffic patterns where all packet payloads are less than 48 bytes can result in packet drops on the output. This issue is to be fixed in a future release of the IP.
