2.2.3.1. Routing to Preserve Safety Partitions
Intrapartition Routing
The Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Fitter preservation covers intrapartition routing (type 1 in Different types of routing for preserving the safety partition.
Interpartition Routing
The routing between two safety partitions (type 2 in Different types of routing for preserving the safety partition) is nonsafety routing so the Quartus® Prime software does not preserve it.
Nonsafety Interpartitioning Routing
The Quartus® Prime software does not implement the routing between a safety and nonsafety partition as safety routing (type 3 in Different types of routing for preserving the safety partition), so does not preserve it.
Routing to I/Os
When you place an I/O pin inside the safety partition, the Quartus® Primesoftware preserves the routing between the IO pin and the safety partition (type 4 in Different types of routing for preserving the safety partition) .
