2.1. Fabric Network-On-Chip (NoC) in Agilex™ 7 M-Series M20K Blocks

The Agilex™ 7 M-Series introduces the Fabric Network-on-Chip (NoC) feature which provides a dedicated and faster read or write access to and from the M20K memory blocks. This feature is applicable only for the M20K blocks.
  • The Fabric NoC allows the read data from external memories, such as double data rate (DDR) memory and High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), to be written to the M20K blocks.
  • You must be aware of the following limitations when using the Fabric NoC feature:
    • ECC is not supported.
    • Force-to-Zero is not supported.
    • Read address register and data output register must be clocked by the same clock.

To use the Fabric NoC in your M20K memory block, instantiate the NoC Initiator FPGA IP and state the number of the M20K groups that you need. For more information, refer to the Agilex™ 7 FPGA Network-on-Chip (NoC) User Guide (Intel RDC item #747803).
