Intel Quote Request Training

Review Status

Check the status of your submitted requests.

Quote Level and Quote Line Status

You can find the status for each quote line item within the quote, to the right of each line, as well as within the line details.

Additionally, check the Intel Quote Request (IQR) home page for the status for the quote level on the Status column.

These statuses are updated real-time, as soon as our field personnel and pricing managers change them.

Draft

The quote has been started and saved as a draft but not submitted, or it has been recalled by you or returned by Intel to Draft status. It could be missing information or pending a decision on the submitter’s end. The quote will be in Draft status until it is submitted for approval.

Submitted

A Quote has been submitted for the review process. The quote status will be submitted until a quote line is marked as Won, Lost, or Approved. If all quote lines in a submitted quote have been rejected, the quote will be in a Rejected status.

Won

If any quote lines in the request are won, the quote status will show as Won.

Lost

If no quote lines in the request are won, but at least one is lost, the quote status will show as Lost.

Approved

If no quote lines in the request are won or lost, but at least one is approved, the quote status will show as Approved.

Rejected

If all quote lines within a quote have been rejected, the quote will be in a Rejected status.

Quote Line Status

Status

Definition

Draft

The quote line has been started and saved, but not submitted. It could be missing information or pending a decision on the submitter’s end.

Pending Intel Field Review

Can also be shown as Field Review. The quote line has been submitted and is waiting on the Intel Field Representative to forward to a Pricing Manager to approve or reject it.

Pending Further Intel Review

Can also be shown as Pricing Review. The quote has been approved by the Intel Field Representative and is being reviewed by the Intel Pricing Managers.

Approved

The Intel Pricing Manager has approved the quote line and provided an approved quantity, price, start date, and end date for the project and end customer.

Rejected

The quote line has been reviewed, but a discount is not offered for the request at this time.

Won

The OEM won the bid with the end customer for this product.

Lost

The OEM lost the bid with the end customer for this product.

Revised

Reflects a quote line that is no longer active because a change request has been approved for it.

Canceled Approved or Won quote lines can be canceled only if no rebate was processed.  The quote’s end customer being added to the restricted entity list is an example of why a quote without rebate payments would be canceled.

Chatter

The status for a quote or quote line can also be communicated through Chatter in the Intel Quote Request (IQR) tool.

As one of Intel’s internal communication tools, Chatter allows Intel Field Representative to discuss quote requests with our OEM customers.

The Chatter feed can be found at the bottom of each quote.

Use the Feed tab to keep track of status updates and other Intel conversations, such as requests for clarification.

Note: In compliance with GDPR and all privacy regulations, an Intel employee must initiate collaboration through Chatter.

Using Chatter

Step 1: Use the Post tab to draft a message regarding your request to the Intel Field Representative.

Step 2: Type your message into the box. Be sure to “@mention” your Intel Field Representative so that they can receive an email notification for the message.

Step 3: Click Share to post the message to the Chatter feed.

When you are mentioned in a Chatter message, or if you are a member of the request, you will receive email notification of the communication.
