Intel Quote Request Training

Change Requests

A Change Request is a formal Intel Quote Request (IQR) process that applies specifically to quote lines that have been approved or won. Please note that:

  • Change requests must be initiated by the OEM Customer.
  • Change requests can only apply to the Quantity, New Requested Discount Unit Price or the Dates on a quote.

Change Request Process

Step 1: Open a quote with an Approved or Won quote line status and select Change Request from the Quote Line menu.

Change request

Step 2: In the Change Request window, you can then change the Quote Line Pricing Start or End Date, Quantity, and/or a new Unit Price. Once you’ve made the changes, you can click Submit Change Request.

Note: Quote Line Pricing Start Date will only be editable for deals with start dates in the future. Past or in-flight deal Start Dates will not be editable.

Change request submission

Step 3: This creates a new quote line with an additional 3-digit code after the original Quote Line number (“-001” in this example), and that new quote line will have a status of Field Review.

Step 4: The new quote line will be sent to the Intel Field Representative for review before being sent to the  Intel Pricing Manager. The Intel Pricing Manager will review the changes, and approve or reject the new quote line.

Step 5: Once the change request has been approved, the original quote line will no longer be visible in the Quote Line Details section.

Approval status updated

Step 6: If you open the new quote line, you will see the original Reference Quote Line Number under Additional Details. You can click this to review the original quote line details.

Change Request Error after 90 days: If the Quote Line Pricing End Date is more than 90 days in the past, you will receive an error message when attempting to submit a Change Request. The message will indicate that the Change Request cannot be submitted, and that you will have to instead submit a new Tender Request.
