Intel Quote Request Training

Quote Request Overview

This training takes you through the Intel Quote Request (IQR) process, through which Intel help OEM partners find opportunities to meet, and exceed the needs of our customers. You can work together with an Intel Field Representative or Intel Account Executive Representative to complete a quote request using the Intel Quote Request tool.

The process allows our pricing management team to efficiently assess quote requests to ensure we can continue to provide competitive pricing, and great customer service.

Use the tool to share detail surrounding your current pricing needs so that we can learn more about our customers together, and provide them with great products at great prices.

Intel Quote Request Process

The entire process follows four steps starting with submitting a quote request.

OEM Initiation

  • Submit the quote request by providing details regarding the needs of your customer, and the competitive landscape surrounding your opportunity.

Field Review

  • An Intel Field Representative reviews the request, first working with customer account executives to gather all the necessary information.
  • The Intel Field Representative will also communicate with the submitter regarding any missing or incorrect information.
  • Once the field review is complete, the Intel Field Representative then submits the request to a Pricing Manager.

Pricing Manager Review

  • The Pricing Manager reviews the request, and will either approve or reject the quote.

Response to OEM

  • The Intel Field Representative will then communicate that decision back to the submitter.
  • You can also get the status of your request through the IQR tool.
  • You may also view and access the Terms and Conditions for your company.

Navigating the Intel Quote Request Home Page

Access your current and past requests via the IQR home page. You can also initiate a new quote request.

  1. Change between quote and line item view
  2. Search all quotes
  3. Change between recently viewed and custom views
  4. Click to open a quote
  5. Start a new quote
  6. Search from the active list of quotes
  7. Create a custom view

Pin a List View

By default, the Intel Quote Request (IQR) home page will show the Recently Viewed list. You can change this default by “pinning” a different list. Using the drop-down menu next to the list name, select the IQR Quotes list, and click the Pin icon.

Additional views are available to help organize quotes at different stages:

  • IQR Approved Quote Lines: Displays quotes with a status of “approved”.
  • IQR Pending Quote Lines: Displays submitted quotes that are currently under review by Intel.
  • IQR Quote Lines: Displays all quotes, regardless of status.
  • IQR Ready for Review: Displays quotes that are ready for review by your company before being submitted to Intel.
  • Recently Reviewed (pinned by default): Displays quotes that have recently been reviewed by Intel.

Quote Lines View

The Quote Lines view shows all individual quote-line items. Like the home page, you can switch between recently viewed items to a custom list.
