Intel® Stratix® 10 TX FPGAs are designed to meet the bandwidth demands of 5G communications, cloud computing, Network Virtualization, and optical transport networks. The Intel® Stratix® 10 TX meets these rigorous demand with the newly developed PAM 4 technology, enabling up to 57.8Gb/s in up to 144 transceiver lanes. The Intel® Stratix® 10 TX also supports 28.9 Gb/s NRZ and a dual mode modulation for backward compatibility.

Intel® Stratix® 10 TX devices deliver Dual Mode modulation, 57.8 Gbps PAM 4, and 28.9 Gbps NRZ enabling early adoption of next generation data infrastructure and backward-compatibility with existing infrastructure in Network Functions Virtualization, Cloud Computing, and 5G Wireless industries. With the Intel® Stratix® 10 TX family transceivers PAM4 capabilities customers can build next-generation communication and networking infrastructure that support 50GE, 100GE, 200GE, 400GE, and terabit applications. PAM4 allows for twice the data transmission capacity in comparison to binary modulation.

Ethernet Hard IP Solution

Intel has developed hard IP solution for Ethernet due to its benefits like area savings, power savings and latency time to market. As the data rates increase to line rate of 25GE, features like FEC is mandatory. The following hard IP(s) are available with the Intel® Stratix® 10 TX: Deterministic latency support for Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) PCS, Option to bypass MAC,PCS,FEC, OTN PCS Mode, and the following 10GBASE-R/CR/KR, 25GBASE-R/CR/KR, 100GBASE-R4/CR4/KR4, 100GBASE-R2/CR2/KR2 Forward Error Correction (FEC).
