1.1. About the LVDS Tunneling Protocol and Interface (LTPI) IP

LVDS Tunneling Protocol and Interface (LTPI) is a soft IP introduced in the DC-SCM 2.0 Specification to facilitate the tunneling of low-speed signals between the host platform module (HPM) and secure control module (SCM) through the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interfaces.

This IP is the next generation protocol for DC-SCM 2.0 as the replacement to two serial general-purpose I/O (SGPIO) interfaces, providing higher bandwidth and improved scalability. LTPI enables the tunneling of GPIOs, I2C, UART, and can be extended with proprietary OEM interfaces, allowing raw data tunneling between HPM FPGA or CPLD and SCM FPGA or CPLD.
