1.4.4.1. Link Detect and Link Speed Selection Frames

The link detect and link speed selection frames are the initial frames transmitted during the LTPI bring-up flow.
These frames provide information for exchange between HPM and SCM within LTPI such as:
  • Speed capabilities
  • DC balance achievement on the link
  • LTPI version
  • Target link speed selection
