2.2.1.1. Altera® AXI4 Streaming BFM Beats

A beat is defined as a single bus clock cycle and the events that occur during the cycle. During a beat, the transmitter sends data to a downstream receiver. This data is known as a data beat. Other beats must not conduct data transfers as the receiver or transmitter. Otherwise, neither the receiver nor transmitter may be ready.

Beats on AXI4 Streaming Bus shows a series of AXI4 streaming bus beats, one for each clock cycle.
