1.5. Recommended Tools from Quartus® Prime Installer

You can download and install the Quartus® Prime software, device support, and other components using the Quartus® Prime Installer. The installer supports Quartus® Prime Pro, Standard, and Lite versions, allowing you to update existing installations or install the software on multiple computers. The installer also facilitates the download and installation of additional software, including Questa* – Altera® FPGA Edition simulation software.

Depending on your role, you may need to install the minimum required software as outlined in the subsequent chapters. Refer to the relevant chapters based on your job responsibilities.
