The Change Manager lists each change record as a row of data consisting of the following columns:

• Index— Identifies, by a sequential number, change records corresponding to post-compilation changes made with the Chip Planner, Resource Property Editor, SignalProbe, or Tcl script. For complex change records, the index column identifies not only the main change, but also any component changes.

• Node Name— Uniquely identifies the changed resource.

• Change Type— Identifies the type of change made to the resource.

• Old Value— Lists the value of the resource immediately prior to the change.

• Target Value— Lists the desired target value (new value) that you established with the Chip Planner, Resource Property Editor, SignalProbe, or Tcl script.

• Current Value— Lists the value of the resource in the netlist that is currently active in memory (as opposed to the value in the netlist saved on disk, which may be different if you have made changes and not yet used the Check and Save All Netlist Changes command.)

• Disk Value— Lists the current value of the resource on disk.

• Comment— Allows you to add a comment to a change record in the Change Manager. To add a comment to a change record, double-click in the Comment cell of the record you want to annotate, and type the comment.

Colored indicators in the Current Value and Disk Value columns show the present status of the data in those columns—green in the Current Value column indicates that the change has occurred, and blue in the Disk Value column indicates that the change has successfully passed a netlist check.

Change records are updated dynamically; hence, if you make more than one change involving the same resource, the Change Manager updates the Current Value cell of existing change records to reflect subsequent changes.

Simple changes appear as a single line in Change Manager. More complex changes, which require that the system perform several actions to achieve the specified change, appear as a single line marked by a + icon, which you can click to expand the representation to show all the component actions performed as part of the change.

The Shortcut menu in the Change Manager provides commands to apply, restore, and delete selected change records, as well as commands to filter the list of change records and to export change records in text file (.txt), Comma-Separated Value File (.csv) and Tcl Script File (.tcl) formats.

In addition, the Revert to Last Saved Netlist command allows you to abandon current changes, and the Check & Save All Netlist Changes command ensures that any changes you implement are consistent with netlist integrity rules.
