1.4.3. Using the Altera® AXI4 Memory-Mapped Monitor BFM Flow

The monitor is passive and must be connected between the manager and subordinate. The monitor flags assertion failure when it observes non-compliant behavior.

For the monitor, import the altera_axi_bfm_pkg from the altera_lnsim_ver library: 

import altera_lnsim_ver.altera_axi_bfm_pkg::*;
