4.3. HPS GMII Adapter

HPS GMII adapter is needed to interface HPS MAC with Triple-Speed Ethernet PCS.

You can enable this feature when you turn on the Enable HPS GMII Adapter parameter in the parameter editor. You must configure the HPS MAC speed to the configured PCS or to the speed negotiated by the AN module. When using the IP with HPS MAC, the IP uses the LVDS PMA only. The LVDS PMA does not require GTS Reset Sequencer and system PLL.

Note: The IP only supports HPS GMII adapter in 1000BASE-X/SGMII PCS only variant. HPS GMII adapter is available when transceiver type is set to None or LVDS I/O.
