4.1. Prerequisites

Before simulating with the Intel Agilex® 5 E-Series HPS Model, ensure you have the Intel® Simics® Simulator for Intel® FPGAs software installed and configured according to the instructions in the Intel® Simics® Simulator for Intel® FPGAs User Guide.

Use the simics_intelfpga_cli command to identify available virtual platforms for the supported Intel® FPGA devices. For Intel Agilex® 5 E-Series devices, the main reference virtual platform corresponds to the Intel Agilex® 5 E-Series Universal Virtual Platform.

The following example code shows the output from the simics_intelfpga_cli command (run from the /home/simicsUser/IntelFPGA_InstallDir directory): 
./simics/bin/simics_intelfpga_cli --list-platforms
