1.2. Description of Subcode Error Messages for Agilex™ Devices Only

The subcode is used to indicate the second-level error details encountered caused by the configuration issue-related to the SmartVID. The following table lists the description of the subcode error messages observed.

Error Message Description
PMF_TARGET_VOLTAGE_ERROR (0xC802) Shows the target and read voltage values.
PMF_CLEAR_FAULTS_ERROR (0xC808) Shows the returned error message info based on the power table information. Contact Intel Premier Support and share the "info" value for further analysis.
PMF_VOUT_MODE_ERROR (0xC809) Shows the expected value from the power table and the value returned from the voltage regulator.
PMF_PAGE_COMMAND_ERROR (0xC80A) Shows the returned error message info based on the power table information. Contact Intel Premier Support and share the "info" value for further analysis.
PMF_VOUT_COMMAND_ERROR (0xC80B) Shows the returned error message info based on the power table information. Contact Intel Premier Support and share the "info" value for further analysis.
PMF_READ_VOUT_ERROR (0xC80C) Shows the returned error message info based on the power table information. Contact Intel Premier Support and share the "info" value for further analysis.
PMF_LTM4677_DEFAULT_ADC_CTRL_ERROR (0xC80D) Shows the returned error message info based on the power table information. Contact Intel Premier Support and share the "info" value for further analysis.
PMF_FIRST_I2C_CMD_FAILED_ERROR (0xC80E) Shows the address that was used for the voltage regulator.

When you submit a service request, provide the following information:

  • Issue description
  • The Quartus® Prime software version and patch (if any)
  • Number of tested unit and the failure rate
  • The Power Management BUS (PMBus*) transaction log using protocol or logic analyzer or oscilloscope
  • Trace log information
  • Error Message Information
