floop-fusion, Qloop-fusion

Enables or disables the loop fusion optimization done by the compiler as part of loop transformations.

Syntax

Linux:

-floop-fusion

-fno-loop-fusion

Windows:

/Qloop-fusion

/Qloop-fusion-

Arguments

None

Default

-floop-fusion
or /Qloop-fusion

Loop fusion is performed during loop transformation at optimization levels of O2 and above.

Description

This option enables or disables the loop fusion optimization done by the compiler as part of loop transformations. Loop fusion combines adjacent loops that share the same iteration space into a single loop, reducing loop overhead and improving reuse of data accessed by both loops. This option takes effect only if you specify an optimization level of O2 or higher.
