floop-collapsing, Qloop-collapsing

Enables or disables the loop collapsing optimization done by the compiler as part of loop transformations.

Syntax

Linux:

-floop-collapsing

-fno-loop-collapsing

Windows:

/Qloop-collapsing

/Qloop-collapsing-

Arguments

None

Default

-floop-collapsing
or /Qloop-collapsing

Loop collapsing is performed during loop transformation at optimization levels of O2 and above.

Description

This option enables or disables the loop collapsing optimization done by the compiler as part of loop transformations. Loop collapsing combines the loops of a nest into a single loop with a larger iteration count, reducing loop overhead. This option takes effect only if you specify an optimization level of O2 or higher.
