Warranty Service Benefits and RMA Order Types

Standard Warranty Request – SWR​

A benefit where the customer ships to Intel the product and, upon receipt and validation at Intel’s depot, then Intel ships and delivers the new product. ​

 

Refund – REF​

On occasion the product is on backorder & the supply sight is too long, or product dissatisfaction, or regulatory challenges, then we offer a refund as a remedy. The customer ships Intel the product and upon receipt and validation at Intel’s depot, then Intel initiates the refund for the product via Western Union Business Solutions partner (Convera).​

 

Advance Warranty Request – AWR​

A benefit for select customers where Intel ships a replacement in advance and customers return defective within 30 days from the product delivery. Failure to return defective in 60 days – account goes on Hold = No AWRs​

 

Self-Recycle Return – SRR* (SSDs only)​

A benefit for select customers where Intel has an agreement to send the customer a replacement based on data privacy restricting the return of the defective SSD (e.g., financial, medical, educational, governmental, etc). Customer agrees to self-destruct the product following local ecological regulations. Customer is wholly responsible for proper destruction compliance. Zero tolerance abuse for re-sale or improper destruction/recycling of SRR product by customer that will lead to removal of the benefit. ​
