2.2.3.3. Reset and Enable Counters
The dedicated counter (Reset and Enable) count the number of CPUs resets and fRSmartComp ENABLE commands issued. The thresholds for both counters are available and configurable.
The Nios® V processor LockStep solution generates an alarm (ALARM17) if the ENABLE counter value exceeds its threshold, and ALARM18 for exceeding CPUs reset counter threshold. The counters detect permanent errors (never-ending loops) in a system.
Setting | Actions |
---|---|
ENABLE Counter Threshold | Writes the ERRCTRL_PGO4[3:0] register. |
RESET Counter Threshold | Writes the ERRCTRL_PGO4[11:8] register. |
