13.3. Implementing FreeRTOS™ Project for the Nios® V Processor

To create a program based on FreeRTOS* , create a Nios® V processor Platform Designer system. Based on the system .qsys file, generate the FreeRTOS* BSP project using BSP Editor, followed by the application project.

You can import and build the software applications in Ashling* RiscFree* IDE for Intel FPGA or using the command line. Once the FreeRTOS* -based .elf file is built, you can download the software into the processor system.
