13.3.1. Create FreeRTOS BSP Project

After developing a Nios® V processor system in Quartus® Prime software, proceed with the following steps:

  1. In the Quartus® Prime software, go to Tools > Platform Designer .
  2. In the Platform Designer window, go to File > New BSP. The Create New BSP window appears.
  3. For BSP setting file, create a BSP file (settings.bsp).
  4. For System file (.qsys, .ip), select the Nios® V processor Platform Designer system.
  5. For Quartus project, select the example design Quartus Project File.
  6. For Revision, select the target revision.
  7. For CPU name, select the target processor.
  8. Select the Operating system as FreeRTOS.
  9. Click Create to create the BSP file.
