1.8.1. Reconfiguration Group

A reconfiguration group is a set of single or multiple port Ethernet rates, with different FEC options, from which you can reconfigure your design. Each reconfiguration group defines the Base Profile and a list of a Secondary Profiles.

The reconfiguration group name depends on the highest supported Ethernet rate along with the number of used transceivers. A secondary profile rate is always equal or lesser than the base profile's rate and uses some or all of the transceivers used by a base profile.

For example, a 100GE-4 Reconfigurable Group consists of:
  • 100GE-4 base profile
  • 4x25GE-1, 2x50GE-1, 1x40GE-4, or 1-100GE-2 secondary profiles
