Overview

Power profiling is not easy; it requires specialized tools that analyze the application and the platform. Compounding the challenge, the growth of low-power design (like cloud services and AI) requires the need to get accurate results efficiently and at low cost.

This session delivers the tools and techniques to simplify the process using Intel® SoC Watch—an in-depth energy analysis command-line tool available as part of Intel® VTune™ Profiler.

In this session:

  • Overview of performance- and power-balanced design
  • How to profile a system's power and thermal behavior
  • How to analyze the results, including detailed insights into the application and platform, as well as debugging thermal-related issues

This session includes a demonstration.
