Ciro Fiorillo is a passionate developer with more than 25 years experience as a software architect, team leader, chief technology officer (CTO), and trainer.
He is an expert in high performance computing (HPC), database performance, machine learning, big data, and cloud solutions. He was in charge of research and development (R&D) for a startup that developed an AI-driven chatbot with natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis.
During the last 10 years, Ciro mentored developers on parallel programming in different languages (C, C++, Fortran, C#, Python*) and on different fields, like financial, computer vision, mechanical, engineering, aerospace, fluid mechanics, and 3D graphics.
Today he runs his software development and consultancy company and cofounded a startup developing a patient enrolment and engagement management platform for clinical trials, leading the technology team and conducting research in applying machine learning and generative models to improve patient retention and outcomes in clinical trials.
Ciro is the author of a book on database performance tuning and he published more than 200 articles in printed and online magazines about development techniques and tools.
When he's not online, you can find him scuba diving.
