1. To create Advanced I/O Timing reports, follow these steps:

   1. On the Assignments menu, click Settings.

   2. Click TimeQuest Timing Analyzer.

   3. Turn on Enable Advanced I/O Timing.

   4. In the TimeQuest analyzer, click Create Timing Netlist in the Tasks pane.

   5. In the Report pane, click a report in the Advanced I/O Timing folder to display the report in the View pane.
       

      Note: If you enable or disable Advanced I/O Timing at any point during the design cycle, you must use the Create Timing Netlist command again to implement this change in the timing analysis, using the force_dat Tcl option from the command line.

2. To view summary report information or the current Synopsys Design Constraints File (. sdc), generate custom timing analysis results, or generate multiple related reports with macros, click the appropriate command or macro in the Tasks pane.

3. To display any generated report in the View pane, click the report name in the Report pane.

4. For selected reports, you can view the sum, minimum, maximum, and average values of selected data in a tooltip by holding down Shift+Ctrl, and clicking the appropriate table cells.

5. To view additional information about a path or element listed in a report in the Chip Planner, Technology Map Viewer, or  Resource Property Editor, follow these steps:

   1. In the Report pane, click the report name to open the report in the View pane.

   2. In a report table cell, select a path, then right-click the path.

   3. To locate a path, click Locate Path.

   4. In the Locate dialog box, select Chip Planner, Technology Map Viewer, Resource Property Editor, or Critical Path Settings.

6. For all reports in the Report Timing folder in the Report pane, you can right-click the report and then click any of the following commands:

   • Export— Exports the report in text or HTML format to your local disk.

   • Regenerate— Regenerates the selected report. Use this command when report data is out of date because of a deleted timing netlist or changes in constraints or exceptions.

   • Regenerate All Out of Date— Regenerates all reports that are out of date due to a deleted timing netlist or changes in constraints or exceptions.

   • Delete— Deletes the selected report.

   • Delete All Out of Date— Deletes all outdated reports.

   • Delete All— Deletes all reports.

Additionally, in the waveform view of the Report Timing report in the View pane, you can export the waveform in Bitmap (.bmp) or Portable Network Graphics (. png) format by right-clicking the waveform and clicking Export.

1. To split the View pane into multiple sub-panes:

   • To view two sub-panes side-by-side horizontally, click in the View pane, and on the Window menu, click Split Horizontally.

   • To view two sub-panes side-by-side vertically, on the Window menu, click Split Vertically.

   • To view four sub-panes, on the Window menu, click Split Four-Ways.

2. To view a different report in a sub-pane, click the header for that sub-pane, and then click the report in the Report pane.
   
   

   

3. To create additional sub-panes within a sub-pane, repeat step 1.

4. To unsplit sub-panes, click a sub-pane header, and then on the Window menu, click Unsplit, or click Unsplit All to unsplit all sub-panes in the View pane.
