6.3. Compiling Design

Ensure you complete the following steps before compiling the design:

  1. Configure other non-Lockstep related processor settings.
  2. Instantiate other system peripherals.
  3. Resolve system warnings and errors.
  4. Generate system HDL.
  5. Define timing constraints and assignments.

Upon confirmation, navigate to the Processing menu bar and click Start Compilation.

Validate that the Quartus® Prime project compiles successfully.
